Terms of Service

FLEX MATH

Payment Terms
Payment is processed by credit card upon registration including the registration fee, materials fee and the first month’s program fee. Subsequent program fees are processed by credit card on the monthly anniversary of the registration date every month thereafter until a cancellation request with sufficient notice is received in writing. If a promotion was applied to the program fees for the first three months, the fourth payment will revert to the full program fee less any pre-approved discounts.

Membership Cancellation Terms
Memberships can be cancelled at any time within the first two weeks for a refund of unused, prorated lesson fees. After the first two weeks, memberships can be cancelled at any time after the minimum 3 month commitment with a minimum of 1 full calendar month’s notice prior to the next payment date. Registration fees and material fees are non-refundable.

Session Scheduling & Cancellation Terms
Lesson times can be scheduled at any time during our FLEX hours, must be a minimum duration of 1 hour and must be scheduled at least 2 full business days in advance using our online scheduling page, by email, by phone or in person. Unused monthly hours are not carried over to future months except for December and March with hours carried over to February and April, respectively.

Sessions may be cancelled up to 2 full business days in advance for any reason and without penalty. Sessions cancelled less than 2 full business days in advance are considered to be forfeited. In case of illness, notice must be received before 12 pm on the day of the session if the session is on Monday to Friday, or by 7 pm the previous evening if the session is on Saturday. Sessions cancelled due to illness must be made up within 2 weeks.

Uniform and Cleanliness Policy
Students are required to wear their Crania shirt while attending classes at the Crania Center (“Center”). Students are expected to adhere to a basic standard of cleanliness and hygiene while attending classes. Students are expected to wash their hands prior to each session at the Center in order to help maintain cleanliness of materials and equipment at the Center.

Behavior Policy
Students may be refused admission where they are found to be in violation of the Behavior Policy. In order to ensure that each student receives the maximum learning experience during each visit, the following Center rules have been established:

STUDENTS:

  • No food and/or drink inside the classrooms
  • No cell phone use, photography or videography in any part of the center
  • Speak in a quiet, respectful tone at all times
  • Treat all students, staff and the instructors in a respectful manner
  • Respect the belongings of others
  • Clean up after yourself
  • Be considerate of the right of others to learn
  • Discuss any concerns, little or big, that you are having, with the instructor and/or the Center Director
  • Give your best effort to each task

PARENTS:

Communication with parents is extremely important to us. Please schedule a time to speak to our instructors or the Center Director outside of regular teaching hours. If, at any time, you would like to discuss your child’s progress, please call the Center Director, at 519-781-8810.

Parents, please wait for your child outside of the main classroom. Center hours are focused on the students. Use a quiet, classroom voice while in the Parent waiting area. Communicate any concerns you are having with the Instructor and/or the Center Director outside of class hours.

 

COURSES

Course registration can be cancelled at any time within the first two weeks for a refund of unused, prorated course fees. After the first two weeks, course fees paid are non-refundable. Registration and materials fees are non-refundable.

After the first two weeks, memberships can be cancelled at any time after the minimum 3 month commitment with a minimum of 1 calendar month’s notice.

Missed Classes
Missed classes may be made up in the same week provided there is space available in other regularly scheduled classes of the same type. At least 2 full business days notice must be provided for rescheduled classes.

PIANO LESSONS

Payment Terms
Payment is processed by credit card upon registration including the registration fee and/or materials fee, and the first month’s program fee. Subsequent program fees are processed by credit card at the beginning of every month as a monthly average thereafter until a cancellation request with sufficient notice is received in writing.

Membership Cancellation Terms
Memberships can be cancelled at any time within the first two weeks for a refund of unused, prorated lesson fees. After the first two weeks, memberships can be cancelled at any time with a minimum of 1 full calendar month’s notice. Registration fees and material fees are non-refundable.

Session Scheduling & Cancellation Terms
Lesson times must be scheduled at a regular recurring time during our operating hours and must be determined at the time of registration. Notice for missed classes must be received at least 48 hours in advance by email, by phone or in person. Missed classes can be made up at a time that is mutually convenient for the student and teacher. A maximum of 2 lessons can be made up in a given school year.

Sessions cancelled less than 48 hours in advance are considered to be forfeited.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective August 9th, 2017.

Crania Schools (“We”) is a registered Corporation in the Province of Ontario. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) states how we endeavor to protect the privacy of your personal information that we obtain from your use of this website (“Site”). If there is any part of this Privacy Policy you are not in agreement with, you should not use or visit this Site.

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, postal address and phone number (“Personal Information”).

By providing your personal information, you are consenting to its collection, use and disclosure according to this Privacy Policy.

We may use your Personal Information to contact you in order to provide information requested by you, for operational purposes and/or for marketing purposes including sending you newsletters, other marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of this Site.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred.

We will not sell, trade or transfer your information to third parties outside Crania Schools (or any group of companies of which We may be a part) without your consent, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Image and Video Policy:
From time to time, photos of the students and staff are taken at the Center. These are sometimes used in publications on our website and other marketing materials. No personal information will ever be posted.

Security:
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, however no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. We will strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, however, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Limitations:
This Site may link to other third party sites, however, we have no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.

Privacy of Children:
This Site does not knowingly collect, solicit or maintain information provided by children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as soon as possible.

Changes to this Privacy Policy:
We may modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site with its effective date identified.
